Christian Benjamin - Assistant Coach/Goalkeeper Coach

David Kelly is in an outstanding coach with experience at the professional level, as a coach and player. He brings a wealth of knowledge to the Blue Devil program and is recognized as an oustabnding tactician. He is greatly respected by all the players for his high standards and expectations.

Christian Benjamin will begin his tenth season coaching the Blue Devil goalkeepers in 2015.

A former goalkeeper at Bryant University, Benjamin created and continues to run while also working both as a goalkeeper coach for Connecticut ODP and as a director at the Star Goalkeeper Academy.

Benjamin created, a premier source for goalkeeping equipment and education, in 2003. Additionally, the Simsbury, CT native currently trains seven ODP goalkeepers from Massachusetts and Rhode Island and two Massachusetts regional team keepers.

A holder of USSF 'C' License and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, Benjamin played at Bryant from 1993-97. He began working for the Star Goalkeeper Academy in 1995 and served as a CT ODP goalkeeper coach in 2002, 2003 and 2007.

Benjamin began coaching at the collegiate level in 2004, serving as an assistant and goalkeeper coach for the Framingham State women's soccer program. in 2005, he worked as a part-time assistant for the MIT women's team and prepared the goalkeepers for Franklin Pierce's NCAA Tournament squad.

Prior to his time in the college coaching ranks, Benjamin worked as a consultant for various high programs. He also has club coaching experience for the Elite Soccer Academy, Vikings FC and Eastern MA FC. Benjamin has also hosted the New York Public High School Athletic Association Soccer Clinic at the Soccer Hall of Fame in 2005.
