CCSU Blue Devils Signings 2017.

Ryan De Lello.
Ryan is talented midfielder from Wamogo Regional High School in Litchfield, Connecticut. He is captain of his high school team and his CFC United club team. CFC United placed 2nd place in the Connecticut State Cup finals in both 2014 and 2015 seasons. Ryan also played for the CFC United team that finished runners up in the 2016 National Championship. Prior to playing on the CFC United team, Ryan played with the CFC Gunners for 2 years. He also starred for the SoccerPlus Premier team for 4 years. Off the field, Ryan was voted “Peer Leader” during his sophomore year for his role in mentoring students with special needs. That honor is usually reserved for seniors.

“We are incredibly excited to have Ryan joining our NCAA Division One program.  He is a speedy and talented midfielder who will make an immediate impact as a freshman. He has a great work ethic and an outstanding attitude on and off the field. We are all looking forward to seeing Ryan in a blue Devil jersey this fall” said head Coach Shaun Green.


Nate Howard

Nate is a talented goalkeeper from Manchester High School, Connecticut. Nate is captain and led Manchester to its best record in 12 years with a 9-3-4 record, which included 7 shutouts. Nate was selected to the Class LL All Star team and also played in the Connecticut Senior Bowl. He is a two-time All Conference selection and player of the Year. Nate currently plays for CFC United, which were runners up for the National club Champions in 2016.

“We are very fortunate that Nate has decided to play at CCSU. We have watched him play for several years and our staff feels he is going to be an exceptional division one goalkeeper. Nate is an outstanding person and we are all looking forward to him joining our program this fall” said Head Coach Shaun Green


Red Shirt Freshman, Dante Cancellaro is and attacking midfielder from Watertown, Connecticut. Dante excelled in midfield for Watertown High School. He was the team captain and selected to the “All NVL” team. Dante was selected player of the game on 5 occasions last season. He plays club soccer for Southbury FC.

“Dante is a great prospect from Connecticut. He is a gifted midfielder with great balls skills. Dante is capable of scoring goals by the nature of his attacking style of play from midfield. He is extremely effective on free kicks. I feel Dante will develop into a very good division one player in our program. His parents Carolyn and Dominic have provided him with great support to help him succeed at the next level . We are very exciting that Dante selected CCSU to continue his education on and off the field”
